My hero. His name is Jim, yet by his oldest, closest friends, he is known as Jimmy. He is Dad to his children, Grandpa to his grandchildren, Uncle Jim to his nieces and nephews. To me, he is my hero. Our first date was November 1, 1980 and we went to the Aspen Inn for dinner. I remember it well. I didn't know what anything was on the menu, it was so fancy, so I played it cool and shyly told him to order for me. (I think I saw something like that in a movie) He sent me roses the morning of our first date. I was mesmerized by his charisma. I still am. He has given me a good life and always lets me be myself. If he doesn't like something I decide to do, he never demands that I don't do it. He politely informs me of his disagreement, but always lets me make the final decision. Even if I decide against his wishes(which most of the time I do, like a hard head), he would support my decision. If it went wrong, he would never say, "I told you so". He'd help me fix it. When he met me, I had a 3 and 6 year old. His children were grown and married, yet after 5 years of being together, he asked me to marry him and took on another family and all the problems that went with it. He is a quiet man, doesn't say much, but when he speaks, everyone listens. He has honor and integrity, and anyone who knows him, respects him. When someone needs help, he is always there to do what he can, and if he can't do anymore, he finds someone who can. He would never let anyone down. He can fix anything from worn out toys to a broken heart. I love this man and this man loves me. We are complete opposites from the weather to the favorite day of the week, yet we are a perfect match. We have been married for over 22 years, yet he still refers to me as his bride. God truly blessed me with this guy and I thank God everyday for him. God bless YOU, Jim.....I love you.....you will always be My Hero. Sunday, March 2, 2008

I know most ppl would say that a new couple or newlyweds are "so cute" together but you guys are truly so cute. I hope after 22 years Chris and I will be at least somewhat as cute as you two.
