Just call me Nurse Grandma. That's what I am today. Braydon is home from school today with what I think, is a stomach virus. He was up this morning, dressed and ready to go to school when it hit him. My first clue that something was up, was he didn't want breakfast. His stomach was rolling and hurting and he wasn't a happy camper this morning. He was more upset that he couldn't go to school. I know that sounds odd for a 10 yr old, but you see, he has perfect attendance, until today, and he didn't want to mess that up. I felt sorry for the little guy. So, I'm pampering and nursing him back to health. I told him he may start feeling better later tonight, if this is a 12 hr bug, but if it's a 24 hr or more virus, it may be awhile longer. I told him to say a little prayer and ask God if He would just kick that bug out in 12 hours because it wasn't welcome. He said, "The bug has overstayed his welcome." Now, that may not be funny to you, but to me it was comical. When he goes over to his friend's house to play the video system of all times (the X-box Live), I tell him he can't stay the whole evening like he'd want to because he would be "overstaying his welcome". He's my guy....this little 10 year old munchkin. And he knows it, too.
