Party Time

It's party time!! Boats are in the water, volleyball net is up, corn toss game in waiting, kickball, basketball, four square, fishing poles out (early birds already fishing) softball, we'll have a grand ole time. I have a system; cheese and pickles trays, veggie trays, nacho cheese and chips, taco dip, pretzels and chips are out first. Then we eat hamburgers and hot dogs along with baked beans, corn casserole, potato casserole, deviled eggs, macaroni salad and whatever else comes in. Later, we have cakes, pies and cookies galore. While the adults are feasting on desserts, the kids will all get an opportunity to make their own ice cream sundae. I have butterscotch, chocolate, caramel, strawberry syrup with toppings like fairy dust, butterfinger chips, choco chips, colored sprinkles, skittles, m&ms, and whipped cream. We will all be so stuffed. After all that, we all get to sing Happy Birthday to my hero, their dad, grandpa, great grandpa, uncle, brother-in-law, brother, friend. He is 72. God blessed us with a wonderful day. It's sunny and warm with a breeze to keep us cool. Everyone had a part in making this a splendid day and that's what it is all about. Family!!! I love my family. Thank you, God, for such a great family.
