Since I haven't posted in awhile, I'd thought I'd just put everything together and let all of you know just what's been going wrong here lately. 1. My van has been in and out of the shop for various repairs. This "thing gone wrong" has been a real headache, especially since I have to "borrow" other means of transportation. In my house, if the transportation system comes to a halt, so does a lot of activities in the lives of my family. Not good.
2. My aching back and bursitis has been giving me fits the past few weeks. I try to ignore the pain, but some days, it is impossible. In my house, if the main source of functioning goes kaflooey, virtually every means of life turns into chaos, and no one is happy.
3. My hero has a fractured vertebrae and had surgery Friday. So I found myself searching for a substitute multi tasker crazy enough to be willing to fill my shoes for a few days. Without pay, of course. As it is right now, it doesn't seem like the surgery worked, but it's really too soon to tell.
4. I had to file the first claim in 28 years on my homeowner's policy to repair the roof damage that the wind cause on September 14. Along with that is trying to get estimates from companies already bombarded with customers having the same problem.
5. The stock market is daily stealing what little bit of money we have left to get us through the rest of our lives. I keep telling myself the losses are only on paper for now. Can't do anything about it anyway. I'm sure not going to jump from a 20 story building because of it.
6. The father of my three chickadees got laid off, so any financial aid I get from him comes to a halt.
But, you know what? I'm blessed every day with another day of life to do whatever it is that God has planned for me. And, I'm able to do it. I'm not blind, deaf or invalid. I'm not battling any diseases. My mind is sharp, my senses are in full capacity and I have the strength and the will to use them. I'm loved by many and jealous of none. I'm grateful for all of that, and it's still a great life.

I'm glad you finally posted. If you let someone know what is going on we could help. If you need me to come up this weekend to help out I'll be there. You have always been there for me. I'm home sick today but should be over it by the weekend. Let me know what we can do. Lots of Love! Donna
Thank you for the offer, but actually, Jim came home that same day. It was incredible. He says he doesn't see any difference, which really disappoints him. He had such high expectations that this would work. It still may be too early to tell. He's doing great, almost like he never even had the surgery. All worked out for me with the kids. God worked it all out for me, as usual. They're such good kids, they probably would have been fine anyway. Braydon would have been the only concern and only because he's a typical 10 year old boy.
I'm sorry to hear you are sick today. Hope it's just a short term virus or something that goes as quickly as it comes.
Take care, I love you, God bless.
Love, Vicki
