Deer Crossing

My desk sits in front of the window looking out at the pond behind my house. One morning, as I was sitting there, a deer walked across the yard. Then another one appeared. I jumped up, got my camera to take a picture. The camera was in video mode, so, not to lose the moment, I went ahead and videoed the beautiful site. I slowly moved to change the camera to picture mode and they spotted me, stopped dead in their tracks, as you will see, then took off running. I snapped the last one running. There were four of them altogether as you will hear me say so with excitement in the video. Now mind you, I'm shooting between mini blinds and the deck railing is in the way, but you can still see what they are.

Isn't this just the most awesome sight? I scared the bejibbers out of my beloved when I ran out into the kitchen to get the camera. He thought something fatally was wrong. I had a hard time uploading the video, so I hope it works okay for everyone.

This is beautiful. I can't imagine looking out in my backyard and seeing something like this. Of course, I can't imagine seeing all the snow, either.

Hi Vicki!

The video played fine for me and it was beautiful. How incredible to see God’s creatures up close from your own window.

Have a great day.

That was really cool. We have woods behind our house so sometimes there will be deer in our back yard. Yesterday, I was driving Mariza to preschool and we saw a fox. She said, "mommy, I've always wanted to see a fox, so today is my special day."

I attached Mariza's school picture for you to see...I had to scan it on the printer from a wallet size picture, so it's kind of dark. She looks so grown up to me in this picture.

Take care!
