March 10, 2008

Welcome to South-Western City Schools online. Our district offers wide-ranging opportunities to a diverse population of students throughout the southwestern quadrant of Franklin County, Ohio. Ohio’s sixth-largest district covers 127-square miles and provides services to nearly 21,000 K-12 students.
SCHOOLS CLOSED MONDAY, MARCH 10
That's what the web site said. Needless to say, I had kids all day. So, I put them all to work. The girls run the sweeper and dusted their room, Braydon did the same with his, the girls worked together on the bathroom and Reinna learned how to do their laundry. Wow, did they ever do a good job. Reinna and Chase asked if they could go to a 6 pm movie and I told them it depended on how well they did their work. Top notch cleaning ladies, they were. Braydon always keeps his room cleaned up, makes his bed every morning. That's amazing considering he is a boy, but Robby was always like that, too. Of the two girls, Reinna is an admitted slob. All in all, though, they all worked diligently and I was proud of them. I'm trying to get things ready for the big day Sunday, Confirmation, so their work helped me out alot. Off to finishing supper. Having roast beef, green beans, potatoes, noodles and pineapple for dessert.

Was is still really that bad out that they couldn't have school? Why was it closed?
You are like me. I put the kids to work on days off! They would rather be at school!
