Mrs. Clean???

Those of you who have one or two, maybe even three kids in your house will probably be able to relate. Those of you who have no kids in your house...........well, your day will come. I have three who live here, but actually, it's never just the three. It's always six, eight or maybe ten at one time in my house. Now the girls have had Christmas parties in years past, and there have been as many as 30 (I DO NOT TELL LIES) and if that isn't crazy, I don't know what is. Anyway, keeping my house clean is easy. It's keeping it tidy and picked up that is the hard part. The kids will laugh sometimes and call me Mrs. Clean. I AM a neat freak, always have been, even as a teenager. I believe there is a place for everything. Kids believe that, too. It's the "place" that we disagree on. I'm forever picking up and putting away, in the "places" I think they should be. Some days I'll get out of sorts and scold, but the reaction is always the same. "But, Grandma, we DID put it away." I'll just sigh and then continue with my ranting. What I NEED to do is make a list of where I want everything to be, but, then I'm afraid it would take more time to do that than it would to just put it where I want it. In all truths, the easiest thing to do is just ignore it and just be satisfied it's put "somewhere". At least they all know where I'm coming from and what it is I want. As far as the "place" where I want things to be put...........well, let's just say "in a perfect world..................."

I don't know how you do it. In all the years I've known you, I don't know how you do ANY of the things you do. I just believe what you tell me, and that is God just gives you the strength and energy. You are an amazing person, and I love you for who you are. Keep up the good work. Your seeds are planted.

OK - Grandma, I finally said "OH Well" I got better things to worry about. Shelby is a slob and John is my neat freak. I can tell him to clean his room and he will even try and run the sweeper. Its bigger than him so it's pretty funny. Well, I'm leaving work for the day. Have a great week end. I'm coming that way tomorrow so I'll give you a call to see if you will be home so Shelby and I can stop by on our way back.
