Taxi, Anyone?

(listening to your angel rays while reading this post makes it funny)

Monday is usually my favorite day of the week, but if I have many more like today, I'm going to have to change that. I wear a lot of hats around here, but today, my taxi cab hat got the most use. I'll bet, out of this 17 hour day today, I have been in my van half of that, at least. I was on duty at 5:30, when I needed to take my first fare to work by 6. From then on, it all started. I had to run an errand downtown for someone, go to the bank, pick up prescriptions at the pharmacy and drop off a forgotten notebook at one of the schools. The weekday evenings are very busy for me anyway, but tonight, especially busy. There was the normal stuff, track meet, cheer clinic, math tutoring and choir, slipping homework in there somewhere, then I had a few extra fares....running dinner to my track runner before she boards her bus (tri meet tonight in Worthington), picking up a school project team, dropping them off to destination an hour later, picking up my track runner and a few members of the track team(they needed another van), dropping them off to destination, stopping by Walmart to pick up a pair of shoes for my beloved, then, just as I thought I was off duty.......I'm called because my track runner and her friends needed a ride home because their rides didn't show up. Sigh.....now, I'm not supposed to have to pick up the school project team because Dad is still working with them on the project. He's the carpenter and they needed to construct a game for their school carnival. (math project) But, I'm not holding my breath. Not to mention, it is getting late and I'm sure these kids should be in bed. School night, you know. (I think I hear them coming in now) Whew! I think I'm off duty now. Think I'll go to bed.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY AT THE END OF THIS POST

This is exactly how I feel right now. Driving in the morning was a bear. The only good thing about today was getting to vote. Indiana might finally mean something in a Presidental Election. With Roger gone I'll the time right now there just doesn't feel like there is enough hours in the day.
Take Care my friend and buy a yellow van next time. LOL

This is so funny, and you're right about the angel rays music. It fits, ha ha. I know I called twice and both times Jim said you were out taxiing. All your week day evenings are busy, I call and you are always gone, usually in your van going somewhere, ha ha.
Someday they'll be driving themselves. I'll bet you won't be ready for that either.

Yea, well, I finally landed in bed around midnight. By the time I was done posting my blog, prayers with the kids, saying my goodnights, throwing a load of laundry left in the washer during the day and locking up, I think it was about 12:10. So actually, my day was about 18 1/2 hours long. AND I was up at 5 this morning. I don't know where the energy comes from......well, yes, I do, I pray for it every morning. HA HA! God is good. Back to finishing the laundry I didn't get done yesterday.
