Yep, it's that time again. Getting ready for the first day of school. What that means to me is getting all my hats out of the closet. Football hat, Cheer hat, P.T.A. hat, teacher hat, and the most important one...the taxi hat.
A new hat will be worn this year, Chasey will be playing basketball for her school. This is her first year in middle school. Sigh.....I'm really hating that it's "that time again". I really like having them home during the day, crazy as it might sound, but it's true. I'm all ready with school supplies. Stalked all the stores today and got some real good bargains.
School clothes will be bought AFTER school starts. Hey, I'm not stupid. Especially with the girls....they will get a sneak peak at what the trendy duds will be and THEN we'll go shopping. 
I'm already ahead of the game with appointments. They all have had complete physicals,(forms filled out for the schools' athletic programs) with all booster shots;
they've had their regular check ups with the dentist although all three have ongoing appointments with the orthodontist; and their hair meets all the standards of the fashion of the year trends. On the 20th, we pick up schedules, pay all the fees, and then scout the schools to see where all the rooms are. Chasey and Braydon are in new schools, Chasey moving from Intermediate to Middle with Braydon going from Elementary to Intermediate. Reinna is in her last year in Middle school and she will help Chasey become familiar with it.
The 27th is the big day....for them....it's a day of mourning....for me. But, I'll get over it.

Well, your still behind. Shelby and John start on Wednesday. Yes, that's right August 13th. This is way too early. Whatever happen to Labor Day and then school starts. My kids have had their back packs ready to go for two weeks. We did all the shopping the last week of July. They are both so excited. This is Shelby's last year at the Elementary so she thinks she is hot stuff. John is starting 1st grade this year. All day school. He is very excited. As for Taxi, we started that also. John has soccer practice Tues and Thur and games on Saturday. His first game is this Saturday. Shelby and I are doing the Cheerleading thing again. I had practice three nights last week. I'm only doing it twice this week since school starts and I want the kids to get plenty of rest. Take care of yourself. Love you Lots!
Seems to me you never put your taxi hat away all summer. Everytime I called, you were either coming or going.LOL...Love the thought for the day, too, made me think of the time you told me I should have kept my mouth shut about the Beth Moore seminar. You were right....as usual. lol.

It all worked out, tho, now didn't it and the only reason I was right was because YOU opened MY eyes to another issue. It's funny, tho, because when I put that thought for the day in my blog, I thought of that "other" issue. Great minds run in the same channels.
